Girls Raising

Tuesday night I stopped by the Girls Raising event at One Eleven. The event started out with me being super confused about the cost because I had actually been in contact with someone from another girls tech event in Toronto that was not Tuesday night, and then super embarrassed when Reha (who was in charge of the event) informed me that the email I had finally found in my inbox was not her event. She was great and allowed me in anyways for $10 less due to the fact that I did not have enough cash on hand. Continue Reading


Nobody Cares about Startup PR

Yesterday I spent my lunch at a HighLine lunch talk about how to handle PR when you are a start up. The talk was done by Douglas from BetaKit.

It was very informative and I feel like a lot of what he spoke about was just generally good knowledge that could be used outside of PR and Startups.

Good PR can not create tractions. A good product does.

Douglas spoke about how good PR can create conversations about your product but in the end if your product isn’t good PR can’t help. It will only enable interest, which is just inbound marketing. Continue Reading
