I finished off my bottle of face cleanser and toner and took this as a chance to try something new. I also took this as a chance to write a review about what I had finished using.
For the last few months I have been trying the Biore Charcoal line. It isn’t bad, but I’m not a fan of how my face reacted to it. It didn’t react in a bad way, but my pores seemed more clogged than when I was using Yes To… before. I could see my pores and couldn’t find a way to unclog them. I didn’t break out much, almost not at all, but I could still see stuff in my pores.
I tried using the Pore Penetrating Charcoal Bar but it was difficult to figure out and even when I thought I had it figured out it didn’t do anything. I saw no difference with using the bar. And I never got the hang of it, so I gave up.
I did enjoy the pore strips, the face ones are amazing! I never used the nose ones, they did nothing but dry out my skin. I was also upset that you had to buy nose ones just to get face ones, but I noticed on their website that they will start selling the face strips alone, which I will still be using.
I’m not sure how to rate this.
All face products react differently to everyone’s skin types. This brand/type did not react well with me. I did find using the astringent helpful with my oil and shine problems. And again I love the face strips! They work really well on my chin, which is where I do break out the most, because I sit with my hand on my chin while working.
I like that I can try new face items, that I don’t normally break out. For now I’ll try Nivea’s Purifying Cleansing Gel and Toner. As well as their day cream that is mattifying (win!).
Here are the products that I tried:
- Pore Unclogging Scrub
- Blemish Fighting Astringent
- Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser
- Pore Penetrating Charcoal Bar
- Deep Cleansing Pore Strips Combo
