The Uninteresting Kimmy Schmidt

Do I need to apologize for this?

Although I watched all the episodes over a few days, I didn’t really like The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I didn’t find the jokes funny. I didn’t find the story interesting. I didn’t find the characters compelling and I didn’t care in general.

I watched the whole show in hopes that I would find it funny. In hopes that the story line would get better. In hopes that something good would come from it. The acting was well done, hence the hope for the show. I also really liked Ellie Kemper in The Office, I enjoy Tina Fey beyond anything (other than my aunt, she is my favourite Tina), and then there is Jon Hamm, do I need to explain this part? He was probably the only good part of the show.

I also watched all of it because there is something about a TV series on Netflix. I don’t have to continually find something new to play every thirty minutes to an hour, and Netflix just plays the next episode for me, only stopping every three to ask if I’m still there. I tend to get lost in the time and accomplish a lot of work and planning while watching TV shows that I do not care about in the slightest.

It got to a point where I couldn’t stop watching because I had committed, although out of boredom, so much time to the show. Netflix more or less won me other with their continuous play feature for TV shows, than The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt did.

I do not care if there is a second season or not. If there is there is. If there isn’t there isn’t. Makes no difference to me. I can’t say I won’t watch it or if I will. All I can say is that I am freaking excited for Netflix’s Daredevil!
